Create IO list based on PLC 5 Program

4.1 Exporting PLC Tags from RS Logix 5

Export all PLC I/O and memory tags into Microsoft Excel, ensuring that each tag includes its corresponding I/O address and description/comments.

The exported data should be clearly organized in Excel to allow easy review, documentation, and future reference for migration.

Step 1:

Open the RS Logix 5 Software and Select Tools → Database → ASCII Export

Step 2:

Select the CSV tab.
